Megan Milliken McPherson, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Megan supports CBFN’s diverse network of grantmakers to shift systems toward a healthy, natural environment and just, equitable communities.
Megan joins CBFN with over a decade of experience working in, and with, philanthropy to address complex environmental and public health issues at the local, state, and federal level. Prior to this role, Megan held positions with the Institute for Public Health Innovation, YMCA of the Chesapeake, and the Town Creek Foundation. In addition to the aforementioned roles, she spent six years as CBFN’s part-time Administrative Assistant where she supported the Network’s day-to-day operations and learning programs.
Originally from Baltimore, MD, Megan graduated with honors from Washington College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and concentration in Chesapeake Regional Studies. Megan is passionate about issues of equity and justice and mobilizing resources to strengthen our communities. She is a Senior Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program and has served in leadership roles for the D.C. Chapter of the Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, Washington Regional Food Funders, and the Maryland Philanthropy Network (formerly the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers).
